NHS Borders Clinical Strategy 2017

NHS Borders Clinical Strategy 2017 (Summary Version)

NHS Borders held an engagement exercise of staff and the public on the renewed Clinical Strategy between 4th September and 24th November 2017.  This was an opportunity for all people of the Borders to give feedback to NHS Borders Board on the development of services.

We keenly encouraged as many people as possible to take part in this engagement exercise  as the strategy covers children and young people as well as adults. There were opportunities for staff and public groups to attend engagement events at local amenities, groups and events. Our Public Involvement team were also accepting requests to give specific presentations about the strategy.

The general feedback was positive and supportive, confirming the Clinical Strategy's key themes were in line with the views of our patients, service users, staff and the general public.

The Clinical Strategy is a local vision for our services. It aims to support everyone to stay well, help people remain independent as long as possible with staff working closely with patients to create the best treatment and care plans for their individual needs.

A Clinical Strategy public consultation was previously held in 2014. Documents related to that consultation can be found below:
