Three new appointments to the Board of NHS Borders have been announced this week. The appointments have been made by Scottish Government Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport, Shona Robison.

The appointees are: Malcolm Dickson and Tris Taylor, who came into office on 1 August to replace two non-executive members who recently retired, and Fiona Sandford, who will join the Board on 1 April 2018 when a third non-executive member is due to stand down. The new appointments are for a four year term.

John Raine, Chairman of NHS Borders, said he was delighted with the appointment of three individuals who had demonstrated a high level of relevant skill and knowledge. He said: "The competition was keen. More than 60 applications were received and it was gratifying to see the extensive interest generated by the recruitment campaign."
