Out of hours:
Emergency cases occurring after the Health Centre is closed (18:00 weekdays) will be dealt with by NHS24, the emergency out of hours service.
If you have an emergency out of hours, please telephone NHS24 on 111. Please note that in addition to the morning emergency surgery, we will arrange to see urgent cases which arise later in the day and cannot wait until the following morning’s emergency surgery, to be seen prior to 18:00.
If you are too ill to attend the Health Centre and need a doctor, please telephone the above number to request a home visit. If the condition is not urgent, it is extremely helpful to us in organising our visit if your request can be made as early as possible in the day after 09:00 and before 10:00. Requests for non-urgent home visits made later in the day may have to be dealt with the following day. If you are uncertain as to whether it would be harmful to come to the Health Centre, a doctor can advise. In the case of emergencies, please telephone the Health Centre number at all times. It is very important that our receptionists are given an indication as to the nature of the emergency so that we can respond appropriately.
If you have any suggestions on ways in which our services might be improved these can be made in person or in writing to the Office Administrator or the partner with whom you are registered. There is also a suggestion box in the reception area where your comments can be placed anonymously.
We take any complaints regarding the service provided most seriously and would wish to deal with these most promptly. If you have a complaint about any aspect of your treatment, whether it be medical or non medical, we would appreciate if you would take the time to complete a complaints form which can be obtained from the receptionist. Your completed form will be passed on to the most appropriate member of our team to deal with your particular complaint who will contact you within two working days of its receipt. This will not affect your right to complain formally to the Health Board but we hope that by talking directly to us we may be able to sort things out to your satisfaction.
