Services include assessment and treatment of patients, between the ages of 18 and 69, suffering from mental illness/disorder.

Area covered:

Gala, Peebles and surrounding area.

About our services:

Assessment and treatment is undertaken in collaboration with the patient concentrating on patients with more acute and debilitating conditions which are affecting their daily life.
The aim of care is to encourage reintegration in to normal life as soon as possible utilising local services both statutory and voluntary.
A multidisciplinary team provides care. The team includes:

  • 2 Community Mental Health Nurses
  • 2 Staff Nurses
  • 1 Team Manager
  • 1 Consultant Psychiatrist
  • 1 Speciality Doctor and 1 Trainee Psychiatrist
  • 2 Psychologists and 1 Clinical Associate
  • 1 Occupational Therapist
  • 1 Support Worker
  • 1 Social Worker
  • 3 Admin staff

How to access our services:

Referrals are made by the patient's General Practitioner, Social Work or the Borders General Hospital.
