Those aged 50 – 64 can now book their autumn/winter flu and Covid-19 vaccinations via the online portal: https://vacs.nhs.scot/csp
Our vaccination teams continue to vaccinate those who are housebound. Patients on this list are being contacted directly.
The following groups have now been allocated appointments and should have received their appointment details by post (blue envelope) for their autumn/winter vaccinations. If you are in any of these groups and have not received your letter, please call the national Covid-19 Vaccination Helpline on 0800 030 8013. Those who are aged 12 years and over can also book or reschedule an appointment via the online booking portal.
- Those aged 65 and over
- Those aged 16-64 years, with underlying health conditions that identify them as at risk
- Those aged 5-11 years at risk
- Those aged 12-15 at risk. Please note this appointment will be for a Covid-19 vaccination only, as flu vaccinations for this group will be offered at school..
At least 12 weeks should have passed since receiving your last dose of the Covid-19 vaccine before a booster is administered.
Those eligible who have tested positive for Covid-19 must wait 4 weeks from the date of a positive test or first symptoms (whichever was first) to get the Covid-19 vaccine. However, you can still attend the appointment you have been offered in your appointment letter to get your flu vaccination, as long as 1 week has passed since you tested positive. You can then make another appointment for your Covid-19 vaccination at a later date.
Alternatively, you can opt to get your free flu vaccination at one of our participating community pharmacies. Details of participating pharmacies can be found here.
Vaccinations within pharmacies will be administered subject to availability on a first come first served basis. If the pharmacy team identify that you have an upcoming vaccination appointment, they will discuss this with you and administer a flu vaccine based on clinical risk.
Participating pharmacies are subject to change, please check our website for up-to-date information.
If for any reason you do not wish to attend your vaccination appointment, please call the national Covid-19 Vaccination Helpline on 0800 030 8013 to cancel.
