Don’t forget, the NHS Borders Annual Review is scheduled to take place on 11 September 2023 and will be conducted by Ms Jenni Minto MSP, Minister for Public Health and Women’s Health who will be accompanied by Caroline Lamb, Director General Health & Social Care and Chief Executive of NHS Scotland.
We are currently facing unprecedented challenges in planning and delivering healthcare services in the Borders. We have significant workforce and financial challenges, so we need to start doing things differently. This may mean making some difficult decisions about the services we provide.
The review is an opportunity for members of the public to hear and ask questions about the Board’s performance in 2022/23 and future plans. The session will include a presentation from our Chair, Karen Hamilton, followed by an open question and answer session.
If you are able, please let us know if you wish to attend the Annual Review and if you require additional support. You can do this by emailing public.involvement@borders.scot.nhs.uk or by calling 0800 731 4052 before 1 September.
It will also be possible to stream the session online. Please contact NHS Borders Public Involvement if you wish to attend virtually so that we can provide you with a link.
If you wish to ask questions but you are attending virtually, please submit questions before 30 August by emailing public.involvement@borders.scot.nhs.uk or writing to
