The search has begun to find Scotland's best healthcare workers, and you have until 13 August 2023 to nominate your favourites.
Every year, the Scottish Health Awards recognise and reward dedicated NHS staff, support workers, volunteers and specialist teams who go the extra mile to provide outstanding patient care. This year is particularly special, as the awards coincide with the NHS celebrating its 75th year.
Whether in hospital, in the community, in a GP surgery, or at the dentist, this is an opportunity to reward the people who give so much, helping the NHS provide world-class care to the people of Scotland.
Karen Hamilton, Chair at NHS Borders said, "Our staff work hard every day to provide the best possible care and to ensure local health services are the best that they can be.
"The Scottish Health Awards is a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contribution of frontline health and social care workers, as well as highlighting those in support service roles, whose valuable work may not always be as visible.
"I would like to encourage local people to nominate individuals and teams who have gone that extra mile to deliver first class quality healthcare.
"I am really looking forward to seeing who you nominate this year and finding out in due course what they did to make a difference to you or your family."

The People’s Choice Award is back this year and specifically recognises those amazing people who have dedicated much of their working life and have made – and still make – a significant contribution to our NHS.
To qualify for entry, nominees must be working in NHS Scotland at the time of the anniversary on 5 July 2023. The 75th Anniversary People’s Choice Award will be put to a public vote after nominations close on 13 August. Once the judging panel has selected the most inspiring nominations, you’ll be able to vote for your winner in this category.
