Give someone special their moment to shine this Christmas
This Christmas, NHS Borders charity The Difference want to help you give your loved ones their moment to shine. Whether it is someone special you are remembering, a friend you want to thank, or someone you want to celebrate, we are inviting you to dedicate a light in their honour on The Difference’s Tree of Light.
For a small donation you can make a dedication and, if you wish, post a photo on the charity’s virtual tree. Your donation will help to enhance patient care across the Scottish Borders. As a thank you The Difference will send you a handcrafted decoration (while stocks last) which can be gifted to those you are thanking and celebrating or can be kept to honour those you have lost.
We would like to thank Galashiels crafting group “Crafty Dafties” who, for the second year, have kindly given their time and materials to provide the decorations.
In addition to our virtual tree, a real Christmas tree will also feature at the Borders General Hospital (BGH). A lighting ceremony being held on Tuesday 5 December at 6.30pm, to which all are invited. The ceremony will be held outside the Chaplaincy Centre at the BGH and will include a welcome from NHS Borders Chair and Trustee of The Difference, Karen Hamilton, followed by some Christmas carols and refreshments. If you are unable to attend on the night you can like The Difference Facebook page here to follow the event.
