Why are these important?Moving around – children are required to walk and run to get where they need to be Play – Playground skills such as playing on a climbing frame, using a swing and playing with a skipping rope require gross motor skills Sporting skills – Throwing and catching a ball, playing football and other games Daily Activities – there are various daily activities that require gross motor skills, including getting out of bed and getting dressed (e.g standing on one leg to put trousers on)
