Pregnancy Assessment Unit (PAU)
Our PAU provides a welcoming and supportive place where you can receive assessment, advice, and ultrasound scans at any stage of pregnancy. The unit is staffed by a dedicated team of midwife sonographers, who are specially trained to provide ultrasound care and pregnancy assessment.
We offer a range of ultrasound scans, including early pregnancy, dating, nuchal translucency, detailed anomaly, and growth scans. You may be referred by your Community Midwife or GP, and if you are already attending the unit, you can self‑refer for early pregnancy concerns.
Follow‑up for screening results is coordinated through the unit, with appointments and counselling when needed.
