Welcome to NHS Borders Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
You will usually see our name written as CAMHS, and hear it said as “calms.”
Here is some helpful information if you have an appointment with us:

A System of Support
We are part of a wider team that works together to make sure you get the support you need, when you need it. This is called Getting it right for every child (GIRFEC). More information on GIRFEC (Scottish Government GIRFEC Policy)
It means everyone involved in your life—family, friends, and professionals in health, education, social care, and voluntary services—are working together to support your mental health and wellbeing.
