What do CAMHS do?

CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary service which includes Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Mental Health Nursing, Clinical and Applied Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy and Dietetics. 

We work closely with other services within NHS Borders i.e. Occupational Therapy, Music Therapy etc. The CAMHS teams provide specialist assessment and a range of evidence-based, therapeutic interventions to individuals and families.  CAMHS provide consultation and supervision to professionals who support children and young people with mental health issues.
