What to expect when you come to CAMHS
When you first come to CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), you will likely be welcomed by a member of our Admin Team. They are also the first people you will speak to when you call us.

Our Admin Team plays a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly. They:
-Direct your questions to the right person
-Arrange appointments
-Produce letters
-Support all our clinical teams with many essential tasks
If you have changed your address or telephone number, please let us know as soon as possible.
Your First Appointment
Your journey with CAMHS will begin with an initial appointment with our clinicians. This is a chance to talk about your difficulties, concerns and work together on a plan for support.
Sometimes, after this appointment, we may find that CAMHS is not the most appropriate service for your needs. If we do not think we are appropriate, we
will let you know what will happen next and answer any questions you may have.
If you find it helpful you can bring along notes you have made about what you want to discuss or share with us.
