How to access our services: See HERE for our Podiatry self help leaflet
You can refer yourself directly for Podiatry assessment or you can be referred by your GP or another healthcare professional.
All referrals will be prioritised on the basis of clinical urgency (clinical urgency is defined as foot /ankle ulceration or an infected toenail). Please see link to the referral form here.
Non-urgent referrals will be added to the waiting list and appointments will be arranged in due course and in line with NHS borders waiting times policy.
If a person does not meet the criteria for NHS podiatry care and has no family or carers to support them, they may wish to pay for the treatment privately. We recommend the podiatrist is HCPC registered.
You may be able to claim for financial support to help you with your personal foot care. Click HERE to access our advice for Attendance Allowance or see the link on the left. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/attendance-allowance-claim-form
