What is Motor Planning?

Motor Planning is the problem solving and ability to organise movement involved in everyday actions.

Some Activities to try at Home:

1) Games, e.g. Twister:

Twister is a good game to develop motor planning as it requires the child to think about where they are putting their body parts.

  2) Imitation Games:

Try getting your child to copy movements that you do. For example, jumping, standing on one leg, touching your head.

3) Target Games:

Games such as bowling and throwing balls through hoops are a good way to practice motor planning
