What to expect:

Once we have received your referral form you will be contacted by our team who will arrange your first session with our Dietitian. Your first session will allow us to work with you to decide which programme is best for you.

From there, sessions may be one to one or in a group and may be face to face or virtual by video conference (Near me).

Young people can be seen individually or as a family or with a parent/guardian depending on their circumstances.

Below is some feedback received from families who have participated in the programme:

“My daughter has just completed the Fit4fun course and has learnt so much! The sessions have always been informative, well paced, and helped her understand the importance of reading labels and making healthier food choices.

She was able to set her own goals, pick her own exercises and was given appropriate activities to complete between sessions, but with no pressure.

The information pack we received was outstanding, it was very helpful to have our own visual of what was being spoken about. The included recipe book has been well used!

I would recommend this course to anyone who feels their child would benefit from non judgemental guidance and support around food and healthy eating”.

“We have really enjoyed the Fit4Fun Families programme. It was arranged at a time that was convenient so we could both participate.

Sessions have been fun and informative and at a level that suits the age of any child. The pack we received is full of useful information and recipes.

We also received bats, balls, bean bags and skipping ropes which my daughter is thoroughly enjoying playing with.”

“We have learned a lot over the past few weeks, which has been fun and helpful. The girls loved doing all of the activity videos.

Their favourite thing was the sugar game and we were all shocked at how much sugar is in some foods. We’ve been keeping up with the goals that we set.

We would highly recommend this group to any parents looking to know about how to eat healthily with their kids.”

Examples of sessions include:
