Where are we:
MHOAS have office bases at Poynder View, Kelso Hospital and at Melburn Lodge, BGH, though we work as one service to cover the Scottish Borders.

We provide a service to people over the age of 70 for assessment, diagnosis and treatment of both cognitive difficulties and functional illness that live in the Scottish Borders. We provide assessment for people of any age with cognitive impairment, once all other causes have been eliminated.
We see people in a variety of setting including at home, in Clinics, in GP surgeries and other community settings.
About our Service:
MHOAS staff teams includes provision of Post Diagnostic Support following Dementia diagnosis (PDS), Care Home and Community Hospital Assessment Team (CHAT) and Community Mental Health team (CMHT)
We liaise, sign-post and refer to other services as appropriate.
