What is involved in eating and why is it important?
Eating as an Activity of Daily Living refers to the skills and tasks involved in feeding yourself. This can include using cutlery or hands to eat. Eating can also be sensory exploration for children where they experiment with textures, flavours and smells of different foods.
For children, learning to use cutlery can be tricky! Please see our resources below for strategies surrounding cutlery.
