Provision of children's hearing services is currently split between NHS Lothian and NHS Borders. We accept referrals from GPs, health visitors, speech and language therapists and Paediatricians. If you have a concern about your child's hearing please speak to your GP or health visitor in the first instance.

Children under the age of 5 and those with current hearing aids or requiring hearing aid provision are currently being seen by NHS Lothian.

Childs Hearing Services Working Group

A Child’s Hearing Services Working Group (CHSWG) is a local multi-agency group that brings together professionals, parents, and service users to improve hearing services for deaf and hearing-impaired children. The group works collaboratively to ensure services are effective, coordinated, and meet the needs of children and their families.
