How We Use and Share Your Information
NHS Borders shares some information with Public Health Scotland through the National Weight Management Reporting Project and SCI-Diabetes. This is done using a secure weight management system called TURAS.
If you take part in an NHS Borders weight management service, some information about your care and person details will be shared with Public Health Scotland. This may include:
- Personal Details
- Your weight measurements
- Which weight management service you attended
- The dates you attended the service
This information is used to help understand how well weight management services across Scotland are improving health outcomes. It also helps assess whether these services are reducing the number of people developing type 2 diabetes. This does not mean that you have diabetes.
For more information about how your information is used and protected, please read our Privacy Notice.
