BGH Unscheduled Attendance Treatment Times
NHS Borders aims to see and treat 95% of people who come to the Emergency Department (ED) and the Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) within four hours. This is measured from when you arrive in ED or AAU up until the point you are either admitted into hospital, discharged home or transferred to another healthcare location.
We aim to see 95% of people attending ED or AAU within 4 hours.
We saw 85.9% of people within 4 hours of attending ED & AAU at the BGH during the last week.
During the week ending 26 September 2021 there were a total of 533 unscheduled attendances at the BGH.
85.9% of people were seen within 4 hours. 99.6% of people were seen within 12 hours
Our busiest day last week was Monday when a total of 94 people attended the department.
Across the week 41.5% of people presented with a minor injury or illness.
The above data is gathered early and is not verified at the time of this weekly update; however it does provide a good indication of how we performed last week against the 4 hour target.
Thank you
