We are dedicated to valuing and respecting children, young people and their families, ensuring they are treated with dignity, feel heard and are fully supported through:

  • High quality care - using the best evidence-based practices for prevention and treatment
  • Appropriate skilled staff - our staff are highly trained to support children and families
  • Using a rights-based approach - we are committed to embedding children’s rights in all our services
  • Being trauma informed - being able to recognise when someone may be affected by trauma, responding in a way that supports recovery, does no harm and recognises and supports people's resilience

Our Children’s Service Network aims to ensure that every child has the best possible start in life. This is achieved through the delivery of high quality, person-centred, safe and effective maternity care and children’s health services. In addition to contributing to reducing health inequalities to ensure children, young people and their family’s flourish.
