Time is running out for registering your feedback on the NHS Borders Clinical Strategy

Borderers have been given a fantastic opportunity to help reshape healthcare services in the Borders by registering their feedback on the NHS Borders Clinical Strategy consultation.

The NHS Borders Clinical Strategy consultation period has been running since 10 March 2014 and will be closing next week, Friday 6 June. A number of Borderers have already told NHS Borders their thoughts on the six Key Principles for redesigning the services to ensure high quality healthcare, (outlined in the Clinical Strategy Consultation), but now NHS Borders wants to hear from you.

Don’t miss out on your chance to give your feedback so you too can help shape your future healthcare services in Borders. One way of registering your feedback is by coming along to a public drop-in session, any time between 10.00am and 3.00pm, on Monday 2 June in the Volunteer Hall, St John Street, Galashiels. You will have the opportunity to discuss the details of the key principles and officially register your feedback for the closing date.

Alternatively the consultation document can be found online at /media/126661/clinical-strategy-cons-doc-060314.pdf.

A paper format or as a PDF document is also available on request.  For your copy please email public.involvement@borders.scot.nhs.uk or telephone Freephone 0800 7314052.  The Clinical Strategy consultation document is also available in a number of locations throughout the Scottish Borders including your local GP Practice and Libraries.

The consultation contains only five feedback questions on the Key Principles from the Clinical Strategy.    Those completing the feedback form can remain anonymous if they prefer this option.

NHS Borders continue to attend the Scottish Borders Area Forum meetings to provide you with the opportunity to give us your views on the Clinical Strategy.  The meeting dates of Area Forums still to come are:

  • Cheviot Area Forum, Wednesday 4 June, 6.30 pm, Tait Hall, Kelso
  • Berwickshire Area Forum, Thursday 5 June, 6.30 pm, Council Chamber, Newtown St, Duns

You will see the agenda for each of the Area Forum meetings on Scottish Borders Council website as they become available: http://councilpapers.scotborders.gov.uk/calendar.asp
