Smoking
A Specialist Smoking Cessation Advisor is available at the Borders General Hospital. A number of wards and departments now refer patients who wish to stop smoking to the Smoking Cessation Service, Quit4Good.
In addition, ward based staff have received brief advice training to support them raise awareness of the benefits of stopping smoking with patients.
NHS Borders grounds have been smoke-free from September 2014.
