NHS Borders Winter Plan

Winter is upon us and here at NHS Borders we work hard to prepare for it.

The winter period can be a challenging time for the delivery of health and social care services. Each year, we implement a winter plan so that services can continue to provide timely and high quality care during periods of increases in demand or additional challenges associated with the winter.

As part of our plan we will keep you updated on all things winter; from tips on what you can do to be prepared for the season to what is happening in our facilities over the winter period. Our Weekly Winter Updates will keep you informed about activity in our hospitals, our 'Meet Ed' campaign will advise you of the appropriate services available so you know who to turn to and we will also have full listings of GP and Pharmacy festive opening times so you don't get caught out.
