Under certain conditions, information given in confidence may be shared. Most commonly this relates to personal information, but it can also happen with confidential corporate records

14.1

Sharing of information is a core NHS Scotland activity and takes place in line with the Data Protection Act 1998 and other relevant privacy regulation. All sharing of information is subject to the appropriate level of risk assessment.

14.2

The Pan Lothian/Borders Data Sharing Group is a collaborative group with representation from the various Lothian Councils, Scottish Borders Council, NHS Borders, NHS Lothian, Scottish Ambulance Service and Police Scotland. They evaluate the Information Sharing Protocols (ISPs).

The Freedom of Information Statement has been amended to ensure that the Publication Scheme is reviewed annually and all links are maintained.
