We provide a number of services to our registered patients.

Clinics - Asthma, diabetes, COPD, coronary heart disease, hypertension, child immunisations, flu immunisation, travel immunisations, minor surgery, joint injections, general health reviews, cytology, oral contraceptive, contraceptive injection, post-natal and baby checks, health promotion, warfarin monitoring, medication monitoring

We have a number of additional services - Health Visitor, Lifestyle Advisor, Counselling Service

In addition, family planning services, Health Visitors and District Nurses are arranged through Galashiels Health Centre, 01896 661 366.

Some services are not provided under the NHS and therefore attract a charge.
Examples of these are:

  • Medicals - employment, sports, HGV, PSV. This list may not be exhaustive.
  • Insurance claim forms
  • Private sick notes
  • Some letters

Travel Clinic

Please allow at least 6 weeks prior to travel. For more complicated itineraries up to 3 months may be required to complete the required vaccine schedule.

We provide a travel advice service and vaccination clinic for our registered patients. Please complete the pre-appointment travel questionnaire available from reception. Complete this form as fully as possible to enable us to assess your vaccination requirements and tailored health advice for your trip. Once this form has been reviewed you will be contacted and an appointment made with our Nurse Practitioner to discuss your health and vaccination requirements.

All anti-malarial medications and some vaccines are not provided by the NHS and therefore will result in a cost to you.

Yellow Fever Centre - for registered and non-registered patients

We provide a yellow fever vaccination service for registered and non-registered patients. You will be required to fill in the pre-travel questionnaire and attend for an appointment with our Nurse Practitioner. At this appointment your travel plans, vaccination status for travel and anti-malarial medication will be discussed. The yellow fever vaccination is not provided under the NHS, a charge will be made. We will require you to pay for the vaccination at the time of your appointment. This can be cash or a cheque. We have no facilities to take bank cards. Your certificate of vaccination will be provided after payment. Please contact reception for the cost of this vaccine prior to your appointment.
