NHS Mail Accounts

All members of the Community Pharmacy Team are recommended to have their own individual NHS email account to ensure continued access throughout the working week to the Community Pharmacy's own shared mailbox.

All accounts on this new platform end in 'nhs.scot'.

If you have login details for your NHS email (Outlook) account (ending in nhs.scot), log in at:https://outlook.office.com/mail/

Please submit any new NHS mail requests to the CommunityPharmacy.Team@borders.nhs.uk using this email account request form.

Please also include any leavng memnbers of staff on this form as their licenses may need ot be made available before your request can be granted.

LOGGING INTO NHS EMAIL ON OUTLOOK - TIPS

It is recommended you use either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome as your internet browser when logging into Outlook, but all browsers should work.

When you log into your NHS email account for the first time, you will be prompted to set up Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) to enhance the security of your email account. It is recommended that you have at least two methods set up, including the option of having a six digit code texted to your mobile phone.  To choose this option when logging on for the first time, click the 'I want to use a different method', then choose 'Phone' and continue.

PASSWORD - TIPS

We recommend you change your NHS email password from the one set up by Directory Services to something more memorable.  Please click here to see how to do this.  When choosing your new NHS email password, please click here for the full list of requirements your password should meet in order to be accepted as a valid new password by Outlook.

FORGOTTEN YOUR PASSWORD?

If you forget your password but your account is otherwise working fine with MFA authentication, you should be able to click on 'forgot my password' on the Outlook login screen, and you will be sent a code to your mobile phone.  This should allow you to choose a new password on the computer and continue logging in.
